One of my very favorite bloggers does this cute little "Confessional Friday" each Friday. I've never participated, but thought it would be fun to jump in. Here we go, ladies!
1. I confess that I seriously considered {okay, maybe not seriously... but close} ripping these braces out of my own mouth, one-by-one on Wednesday. Luckily, I think that was the peak pain day. Thanks to lots of Aleve, Orajel, and orthodontic wax, it's been uphill ever since!
2. I also confess that, due to said braces, I've easily consumed my weight in carbs this week. For someone who isn't used to eating grains, this has been weird! I can't really chew much of anything, so french fries soaked in ranch, cheesy cornbread, extra ripe avocado, oatmeal, fried rice, and Blue Bell ice cream have never tasted better.
3. I confess that I am thrilled beyond words for my sweet friend Michele who ties the knot this weekend. I'm not quite sure where I'd be without this girl! We've shared countless laughs, lots of memories, cram sessions in college, glasses of wine, fondue, girls nights, lake trips, tears, TV show obsessions, heart-to-hearts, blogging adventures, and more. She will be the most perfect, gorgeous bride and I cannot wait to share in celebrating her big day! Love you, Meesh!
4. I confess that I'm super-weirded out that McDonald's is now selling Pumpkin Spice Lattes... I mean, it just CAN'T even compare! Something in me just can't even stomach a PSL from McD's. Shout out to YOU, Starbucks! {overpriced PSL's and all....} Since I got my braces this week and have to drink coffee through a straw to avoid staining my clear bands, I've been making my own iced PSL creation! I brew one K-Cup of Archer Farms Hazelnut Light Roast, add 5-7 ice cubes, pour in Pumpkin Spice creamer, dash cinnamon on top, and stir... Voila! And it's actually delish.
5. I confess that I'm beyond excited to attend my little sister, Olivia's, sorority pinning with my family on Sunday. She pledged Phi Mu at Arkansas Tech University, and I am thrilled for her! Such an exciting time in her life!
6. I confess that my BFF Caitlin and I are, undoubtedly, soul sisters. She makes me laugh more than anyone on the planet! We had a hilarious phone conversation last night, and I'm pretty sure I had abs from all of the laughing when we were done! DroidPad, anyone?! {Hey, Cait!}
7. I confess that I am OBSESSED with Revenge, Nashville, and Mistresses. The third season of Revenge and the second season of Nashville air this month, and I'm SO excited to watch! Out of curiosity, I Googled to see when the second season of Mistresses returns... Turns out, ABC has until September 30th to let cast members know whether the network is picking the show back up or not. {ABC, for your sake, PICK. IT. BACK. UP. Please and thank you!} If they do pick the show back up, the second season is likely to air in summer of 2014. Did you just catch that? SUMMER OF 2014!!!! NOT okay, ABC. I'm thinking that Scandal might be my next TV addiction. Any reviews on it?! Hulu/Apple TV is SO much better than real cable, y'all!
8. I confess that I'm dying to bring my Frye boots out of hiding. I've wanted to wear them every single day this week, but it's just been too darn hot. It's rainy here today, so I opted for a pair of {less expensive} Kenneth Cole Reaction boots. My Frye's cried a little when I left them in my closet this morning.
9. I confess that I might be borderline crazy in love with the Phillip Lim for Target line. I scored the VERY last large tote that the Fort Smith Target had, and I'm in love. For the bargain price of just $55, I really couldn't resist buying it as my fall bag {since the tried and true tote for which this one is a replica has a price tag of $900...}. I'm dying over the cuteness! It fits all of my
10. I confess that I'm dying to plan a road trip somewhere this fall. I'm itching to travel! A small getaway to the new Lululemon store in Tulsa is definitely a must. I'm also thinking a weekend trip to see friends or family somewhere?! Hiking Petit Jean with my sister is a requirement. If y'all are outdoor enthusiasts, you just HAVE to check out Arkansas. I'm not an Arkansas native, so it isn't biased of me to say this... But Arkansas is GORGEOUS! Especially in the fall. We have some of the best state parks and hiking spots around. For a girl who loves to hike and explore, this state has been good to me!

ReplyDeleteYou absolutely MUST watch Scandal. I loved Revenge, and everyone said if you like that, you'll like Scandal. So I finally caved. Different story lines altogether, but I sort of get what people mean that if you like one you'll probably like the other. It was so good that I bought the entire second season of Scandal on iTunes since I was too impatient to wait for Netflix. I've already starred in my planner when it comes back.
